Together with the Larbi‑Asiedu and Darko families

come up to the ridge,

down through the cloud,

to the terrace at the edge of the sky,

for the best afternoon of the year.

The Ridge Terrace

Akropong, on the Akuapem ridge

  • The terrace from the side: hundreds of white chairs in rows on terracotta tiles, the stone balustrade, and the ridge falling away to the plains under a huge cumulus sky.
  • The ceremony canopy: white drapes under a crown of coral roses, white blooms and blue hydrangea, with gold chairs turned toward it.
  • Low across the rows of white folding chairs toward the canopy, the gold chairs at the front and the plains beyond.
